Integration with Advanced PLCs: The new version supports Siemens' latest programmable logic controllers (PLCs), including the S7-1200 G2, S7-1511, S7-1513, and the new modular S7-1500 CPUs. This integration offers extensive motion control and safety functions, enhancing system speed, accuracy, and safety.

User Management Access Control (UMAC): To bolster security, TIA Portal V20 introduces UMAC, allowing service technicians to access shopfloor devices using standard enterprise credentials. UMAC integrates with identity providers like Microsoft Active Directory and Azure ID, streamlining permission management across automation devices.

Enhanced Performance Metrics: The latest version optimizes data exchange between TIA Portal, TIA Portal Cloud, and Project Server Cloud, facilitating faster data transfer and reducing the risk of data corruption. TIA Portal V20 was officially introduced at the Smart Production Solutions (SPS) trade show in Nuremberg, Germany, held from November 12-14, 2024.
