Rack Size Options:

• Full-Size Rack: The standard 19-inch EIA rack accommodates 14 available module slots, providing ample space for extensive configurations. This size is ideal for larger installations requiring multiple monitoring modules while maintaining optimal airflow and cooling.

• Mini-Rack: Measuring 12 inches, the mini-rack provides 7 module slots. It is perfect for environments with space constraints, offering a compact solution without sacrificing essential functionality.

Mounting Formats:

• Panel Mount: This format is designed for installation in rectangular cutouts on panels. The rack is securely mounted using provided clamps, with wiring connections and I/O modules accessible from the rear. This installation option is ideal for compact systems requiring direct integration into control panels or other enclosures.

• Rack Mount: The 3500/05 system rack is designed for installation on 19-inch EIA rails. This configuration allows the rack to be mounted alongside other equipment in standard rack setups. All wiring and I/O connections are accessible from the rear, offering ease of installation and maintenance in server rooms or control cabinets.

• Bulkhead Mount: This format is suitable for applications where rear access is not possible. The rack is mounted against a wall or panel, with wiring and I/O modules accessible from the front. This installation option is particularly useful in environments with limited rear clearance, though it is only available for the full-size rack; the mini-rack does not support this mounting format.

Positioning and Slot Configuration:

• Power supplies and the rack interface module must be installed in the far-left positions of the rack to ensure proper power distribution and system operation.

• The remaining 14 rack positions (7 positions in the mini-rack) can be utilized for various monitoring modules. This flexible slot arrangement allows for customization based on the specific needs of the installation, ensuring scalability and adaptability for future system upgrades.
